Gus Meza began to play the guitar and sing at 12 years of age. By the age of sixteen, he was singing and playing guitar for a number of local dance bands in the San Diego area.  He cut his first album of original songs at the age of 23. One of his originals titled, "River Jordan" hit #3 on a local Christian radio Station.

In 2009 he finally made the commitment to pursue his passion for music as a full time career. He began performing regularly at Golden Acorn Casino, performed four consecutive years at the Del Mar Fairgrounds, performed frequently in the famous San Diego Gaslamp Quarters and a number of popular restaurants throughout San Diego County.

Gus Meza believes that it is important to give back to the community.  He’s volunteered at UCSD Hillcrest and UCSD La Jolla as Music Therapist.  He was voted Volunteer of the Year by the San Diego Rescue Mission as Choir Director.  His Bible College education and several semesters at Southern California Seminary provided the opportunity to serve as on-call Chaplain for the Veterans’ Administration in Chula Vista.

Gus and Trish Meza have recently relocated to Colorado. Between Colorado Springs and Denver he currently entertains in over 65 Senior Centers and Retirement facilities with an occasional performance at weddings and Cafe' & Wine Bars with hits from the golden era of American Music; from Gospel to Spanish love songs, Motown to Johnny Cash, Elvis to Frank Sinatra.  In fact, he sounds so remarkably like Frank Sinatra that he’s often accused of lip-synching.  Gus Meza has a diverse musical repertoire guaranteed to entertain any audience.

Currently Gus Meza has recorded 5 CD’s entitled:  Frankly Speaking (all Sinatra songs), Loving Life (Country mix), and three Christian CD’s called "Wave of Praise", "Charity", and "It's All About Jesus".

His live performances are truly entertaining as he connects to the audience with humor, life’s sorrows and inspiring messages between songs.
